With Microsoft bringing out IE8 later this year, and Firefox 3 launching later this month, will your websites still work properly with the new browsers?
Microsoft has been asking developers to use a particular tag for websites that have been "hacked" to work with IE7, to ensure they will continue to work in IE8. As both browsers will be in use for a while to come, making sure your website works in both will be important to continue doing business. This tag is already on Bordaline clients’ websites which might be affected.
There are no issues yet reported for Firefox 3, but we will be checking anyway! Microsoft's IE8 Beta 1 (pre-release software) lasted a matter of minutes before crashing on my PC, but it was long enough to tell me the tag I mentioned needed adding to some of my websites.
